The Encinitas Fire Protection District was established in 1945 to serve residents of the coastal, rural, and agricultural communities of Encinitas, Leucadia, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea. The District officially became a full city service department in 1995. Our vision is to maintain an emergency service delivery system at the leading edge of technology and training supported by an organizational environment of teamwork with a management philosophy of openness and entrepreneurship.
