Encinitas Community and Senior Center - A Place for Everyone!
The Encinitas Community and Senior Center, owned and operated by the City of Encinitas includes facilities that provide recreational, educational, social and civic opportunities to the citizens of Encinitas. A wide variety of activities and events are available to all ages, from tiny tots to seniors. Below is a brief description of the facilities and other important information.

Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (Friday and Saturday, with extended hours to 12:00 a.m. for scheduled events and rentals.)

Programs
Open Gym
We offer open gym hours daily for youth, teens and adults. Activities include; basketball, volleyball, badminton and more. Open Gym is offered FREE on a drop-in basis. Bring and I.D. card to check out any of our gym equipment or bring your own. Pick up your Gym Schedule at the Encinitas Community Center front counter or download the current month’s calendar using the link above under “programs.”

Call the Centers for information on specific programs, classes, and services. Each session we add new activities so check back frequently.
Facilities
The Center is approximately 39,000 square feet and includes a banquet hall and kitchen, gymnasium/auditorium, arts/crafts room, activity and meeting rooms, conference rooms, dance/activity room, senior game room, senior library/computer room, senior citizen outreach offices, a community information counter and administrative offices. The building fully complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Pick up a copy of our Facility Rental Brochure with pictures and descriptions of rental facilities and our Facility Reservation Application Packet at the Community Center front desk or view them by clicking the links below.
Sample Activities
Concerts, recitals, seminars/workshops, instructional recreation classes (fitness, arts & crafts, dance, karate, etc.), wedding receptions, community group meetings, teen dances, youth parties, open gym, indoor sports leagues/clinics (basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc.), pre-school activities (mommy & me, creative movement, etc.), senior nutrition lunch program, senior citizen activities and events, senior citizen outreach services (blood pressure checks, support services, tax counseling, Project CARE, etc.), family fun nights, youth/teen after school activities, public forums and community special events.
Sample Users
General public, City-operated community recreation programs, service clubs, senior citizen groups, schools, civic organizations, special interest clubs, and other community groups. The Community/Senior Center is a place for all of Encinitas, from Babies, to teenagers, to adults and seniors!
