Current  Development Projects

The City purchased 44 acres of land known as the Hall property, located west of I-5 and south of Santa Fe Drive in Cardiff to be developed as a community park. Beginning in the summer 2002, public workshops were held to determine the use and amenities for the site.  In April 2003, the Encinitas City Council approved the Master Plan for the site.  The Plan is available for viewing on the City's website under City Project Updates. A comprehensive Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is currently being conducted.

The Beacon's Beach Access/Bluff Stabilization Project at Leucadia State Beach consists of stabilizing the bluff, developing a permanent beach access/path, and reconfiguration of the parking lot.  In 2003, public workshops were held to develop concept plans for the site. A comprehensive Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is currently being conducted.
