All maintenance done on City streetscapes is accomplished by landscape maintenance contractors. The City uses state-of-the-art maintenance practices, which help us to keep our streetscapes beautiful, while using our resources to the best advantage.
Most City streetscapes are maintained with funds provided by landscape districts. The residents within those districts are assessed an annual amount through their property tax bill. The Park and Beach Division of the Parks and Recreation Department directs the work of contractors to provide top-level maintenance and upkeep of our streetscapes. This work includes tree trimming, fertilizing and weeding shrub beds, irrigation repair and maintenance, and plant care.
If you have any questions about the City’s streetscape maintenance, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at (760) 633-2740.
